  1. Preparation OR Pre-installation preparation

Remove from passenger compartment front and baсk seats.
    Clean and degrease the surface.

  2. Preparation OR Pre-installation preparation

    Clean and unoil the surface.

  3. Preparation OR Pre-installation preparation

Take the plastic coating of the roof off.
    Clean and degrese the surface.

  4. Preparation OR Pre-installation preparation

    Clean and degrease the surface.

  5. Preparation OR Pre-installation preparation

    Clean and unoil the surface.

  6. Preparation OR Pre-installation preparation

Remove the door trim panels. Don’t remove the lock and the window lift mechanism, they won’t hinder installation.

Clean the surfaces of dirt and the factory-installed sound damper, if it peels off and can be removed.

  7. Installation

    First layer – Vibro-deadening

Use STP Aero 2,3 mm as a first layer. It’s a vibration-damping mastic material. To install the first layer, you have to measure the size. You can use a ruler or a tape line. All the parts of the material must be rolled down.

    Second layer – Sound absorption

The second layer is STP AeroFlex 6 mm. It’s waterproof foam rubber with an adhesive base. This sound-absorbing material also serves as a heat-insulator.

    Third layer – Sound insulation

The third layer is the sound insulator STP NoiseBlock 2 mm. It mustn’t be applied to the internal material directly, it can be used only as the third layer. STP NoiseBlock can be applied only on horizontal surfaces.

  8. Installation

    First layer – Vibro-deadening

Install the vibration-damping material STP Aero as the first layer. It is a 2,3 mm thick mastic material for damping vibration on the external metal coating.

To install the first layer, you have to measure the size. You can use a ruler or a tape line. All the parts of the material must be rolled down.

Avoid air blisters formation, they will accumulate condensate. You can control the quality of rolling down if you look at the foil embossment. If the texture is almost unseen, you’ve rolled the material down properly.

    Second layer – Sound absorption

Apply STP Biplast 10 mm as a second layer. Take the protective film off and mount the material on the first layer.

  9. Installation

    First layer – Vibro-deadening

Use Bomb Aero 4,2mm as a first layer instead of Aero 2,3mm. Since it is bitumen mastic, you have to use a heat gun to install it.

    Second layer – Sound absorption

Apply the noise-absorbing material STP Biplast 10 mm as the second layer. STP Biplast is also heat-insulating material.

  10. Installation

    First layer – Vibro-deadening

Install the vibration-damping material STP Aero as the first layer. It is a 2,3 mm thick mastic material for damping vibration on the external metal coating.

To install the first layer, you have to measure the size. You can use a ruler or a tape line. It’s better to leave some spare areas near stiffeners, thus you can roll the material down firmly. All the parts of the material must be rolled down.

    Second layer – Sound absorption

Apply AeroFlex 6 mm with adhesive base as a second layer. It’s an effective sound-absorbing and heat-insulating material. Cut it the same size as the vibration damper, take the protective film off, and apply STP AeroFlex over STP Aero.

You don’t have to roll it down with a roller, it’ll be enough just to press it firmly with a hand.

    Manufacturing Holes

Initially, there is a factory-installed material on the door, which covered manufacturing holes. You should replace it with the vibration-damping material– STP Aero. Apart from its main function – vibration damping – STP Aero will also serve as a vapour-proof and water-proof material. Upon applying, we have to roll the material down with a roller.

    Door trim panel

Proceed to the door trim panels. Here use the 10 mm thick STP Biplast. Initially there was a factory-installed sound proofing material on the plastic panel, take it off. STP Biplast is a sound-absorption and heat-insulating material.

  11. Installation

    First layer – Vibro-deadening

To reduce vibration, apply vibration-damping material STP Aero 2,3. To install the first layer, you have to measure the size. All the parts of the material must be rolled down.

    Second layer – Sound absorption

As the second layer, use STP AeroFlex 6 mm, which is a sound-absorbing and heat-insulating material. It’s waterproof foam rubber with an adhesive base. This sound-absorbing material also serves as a heat-insulator.
